Our Approach to Sustainable Soil Products
Sustainability sits at the core of SoilFixer. We develop sustainable soil products that improve soil health and support regenerative growing.
Instead of working against nature, we work with it. As a result, we create long-term improvements in soil structure, fertility, and resilience. Healthy soil supports stronger plant growth, so our approach focuses on building balance from the ground up.
Peat-Free Sustainable Soil Products
Peatlands store large amounts of carbon and support biodiversity. However, harvesting peat damages these ecosystems.
For this reason, all SoilFixer products are 100% peat-free. This helps protect natural habitats while reducing carbon release. In turn, growers can choose more sustainable soil products without compromising performance.
Restoring Soil Health
Modern soils often become compacted, depleted, and low in organic matter. This limits plant growth and reduces long-term productivity.
At our Surrey farm, we are actively transitioning to regenerative practices. We add biochar compost and monitor soil health over time. As a result, soil structure and fertility continue to improve.

Circular and Sustainable Thinking
We follow a circular approach to sustainability. This ensures minimal waste and maximum environmental benefit.
First, we convert sustainably sourced biomass into biochar using pyrolysis. This process locks carbon into a stable form that remains in the soil for decades. In addition, we source all materials locally within 20 miles of our Surrey farm, reducing transport emissions.
Instead of releasing carbon into the atmosphere, we return it to the soil. At the same time, nutrients remain within the soil system rather than being lost. Therefore, each stage supports more sustainable soil products and long-term soil regeneration.
According to the Royal Horticultural Society, maintaining healthy soil through composting and organic matter supports long-term plant growth.

We continue to reduce our environmental footprint and work towards becoming carbon negative. At the same time, we aim to increase our positive impact on soil health and biodiversity.
