Carbon Net Zero
Our Path to Carbon Net Zero
At SoilFixer, we go beyond simply reducing emissions. Through the use of biochar and regenerative soil practices, we actively remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it safely in the ground.
Our long-term goal is to become a carbon negative company, meaning we remove more carbon dioxide (CO₂) than we produce.
What is Net Zero?
Net zero refers to balancing the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere with the amount removed.
Achieving net zero means reducing emissions as much as possible, then removing the remaining carbon through natural or technological solutions.
At SoilFixer, we are working towards going one step further – becoming carbon negative.
Our Carbon Impact
All SoilFixer products contribute to carbon sequestration through the use of biochar.
- 1kg of biochar locks away approximately 3kg of CO₂
- Carbon is stored in soil for the long term
- Improved soil health reduces reliance on synthetic fertilisers
Every product we sell plays a role in capturing carbon and improving soil sustainability.
How Biochar Removes Carbon
Biochar is produced through a process called pyrolysis, where biomass is heated in a low-oxygen environment.
This process transforms organic material into a stable, carbon-rich substance.
Our biochar contains approximately 86% carbon, which is highly stable and does not break down or release carbon back into the atmosphere. This makes it an effective and permanent method of carbon storage in soil.
How We Reduce Emissions
Alongside carbon removal, we are committed to reducing our overall environmental footprint.
We do this by:
- Using clean, sustainable, and locally sourced biomass
- Continuously improving production efficiency
- Reviewing packaging and logistics to minimise impact
Every step of our process is designed to reduce emissions wherever possible.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
- Reducing emissions across all operations
- Becoming a carbon negative company
- Restoring soil health locally and globally
When you choose SoilFixer products, you are not only improving your soil, you are actively helping to remove carbon from the atmosphere.
