Tony Callaghan, founder of SoilFixer, is pleased to announce the sale of the business to Tom and Alex Brodie, who will continue to trade as SoilFixer through SoilFixer Ltd.

Over the past decade, Tony has built SoilFixer into one of the UK’s most respected biochar and soil improvement product suppliers. Reflecting on the transition, Tony commented:

“The Brodie family are farmers first and foremost, and they have successfully diversified into producing biochar through a world-class pyrolysis unit to convert wood from and around their farm in Surrey. While they are committed to using their biochar to support regenerative farming practices, they will also sell biochar and composts produced on their farm through SoilFixer. In return SoilFixer will gain access to high-quality biochar that has been sourced from local sustainable wood.

I am delighted that the Brodies will be carrying SoilFixer forward with their own farm-made biochar, putting them in a unique position in the UK market. I will remain involved during the transition period and look forward to seeing them build on SoilFixer’s strong foundation. In the meantime, I will be focusing my energies a few retirement projects.”

Tom and Alex Brodie bring a wealth of experience from their work with biochar, where they have been at the forefront of biochar production and its applications in sustainable land management. Under their leadership, SoilFixer will continue its mission of enhancing soil health and carbon sequestration through high-quality biochar products.
