What Do I Need to Add?

• To maintain the HOTBIN Mega's temperature you need a minimum quantity of approx. 20Kgs of waste per week to maintain hot composting. (20 Kgs or 40 litres, roughly one mower box full or ½ a wheelbarrow full).
• When adding only mixed garden waste, the bin is unlikely to need any additional wood chips to help with aeration (ie as a bulking agent).  
• You can add our Compost Humification Agent to make your version of biochar super compost (SF60, SF40). Using the agent is not a requirement for the HOTBIN to work effectively. It is an opportunity to make your own biochar supper compsot which when added to your soil will upgrade it to a Terra Preta formula.
